Dear Nicole,

By way of update, I wish you advise you I was fortunate enough to be offered the position with Child Safety.

Thank you for you assistance in getting my SC over the line for an interview.

Why do you offer individual consultations when other providers just run group training sessions?

Because group sessions are built for the consultant's bottom line, not your people's success.

Here's the reality: when you're making staff redundant, everyone's in a different boat.

Your finance manager hasn't job-hunted since the Howard years. Your admin officer's never tackled government selection criteria. Your team leader doesn't know how to explain being made redundant without sounding like damaged goods.

Do you believe they'll all get what they need sitting through the same four-hour presentation?

Individual consultations mean I actually review each person's resume, understand their specific challenges, and give them advice that matters.

Your finance manager learns how to position 20 years of experience as an asset, not ancient history. Your admin officer walks away knowing exactly how to write selection criteria that get noticed.

Sure, group sessions are cheaper for me to run.

But your departing staff deserve better than hoping generic advice somehow fits their situation.

They need someone who actually looks at their career story and helps them tell it properly.

Real outplacement means real attention. One-on-one time with someone who gets their industry, their concerns, and their next steps.

Not a seat in a workshop where half the room's switched off and the other half won't ask the questions they actually need answered.

That's the difference between ticking a box and genuinely helping people land their next opportunity.

Cairns Redundancy Support FAQ'S

What locations do your 'In Person' outplacement workshops and training sessions cover?

I service all of Australia, from Charleville to Broome, Cairns to Hobart, Brisbane to Perth. Travel is included in the price.

Why do you focus so much on resume support and training?

Although I can consult and train on several topics related to future employment, I can tell you with 100% confidence that the number one thing that is going to help your staff member easily transition into new employment, is a strong resume. A strong resume will be responsible for 80% of their career success which is why I focus on this before anything else.

Can you write a professional resume for all my staff, instead of training them to do it themselves?

I can absolutely help with that. All my packages include a professionally written resume and cover letter written by myself.

Here’s how it works: Send me an email at nic@nicolecogganresumes.com or call 0439 160 982.

We’ll chat about your situation — how many staff, your timeline, and the kind of support that will make the biggest difference.

No fluff, no pressure,  just a clear plan for giving your people the help they need. When you’re ready, we’ll get started and turn redundancy into a process you can be proud of.
